Expand Your Interior Outdoors

One of the best ways to make your home bigger is by expanding your indoors outside.  Many people don’t think about this too often but it is a great way to make your home feel bigger, it is healthy to breathe the outdoor air, you will love the atmosphere, and it is a cheap way to do a make-shift add-on to your home.

Creating an outdoor room is an excellent way to make your home feel and look bigger.  Many people don’t think about using their back yard or their patio space to create a comfortable atmosphere to sit in.  If you live in a desert region where you get little to no snow, this will be easy for you.  If you live in an area where there is a lot of snow, your outdoor area might be seasonal and closed off during the winter months.  An outdoor space gives you more room at your place of residence to lounge and relax.  If you have a lot of people living in your home, the more space you have the less people are living on top of each other and more comfortable you are.

An outdoor area is also healthy for you to breathe and the sunlight gives you necessary Vitamin D.  Many people who spend all of their time indoors eventually develop a Vitamin D deficiency.  When you are older, this can lead to disease and other problems.  In addition, small children running around a home require corrugated cardboard edge protectors on the table ends so they don’t get hurt.  You might have edge protectors on every table in the home.  Not only is an outdoor space healthier for you but it is safer for children when you don’t have to put edge protectors on the outdoor furniture.

Some people never use their backyard.  They barely know what the backyard of their home looks like.  When you redesign your back patio and your backyard as an extra living space, there are many things you can do.  These things include add trees, flowers, benches and swings, a garden, a sitting area, a fire pit, a makeshift waterfall and much more.  You can create your own Utopia right outside in the backyard.  The last thing you will worry about is the fact you didn’t put corrugated cardboard edge protectors on the furniture so the kids didn’t get hurt.  This is because they will be busy playing outside and away from the furniture.

Extending your home to the outdoors is a great way to add a new room to your home without paying thousands of dollars in construction fees.  You can plant palm trees, banana trees, flowers and bushes to make the exterior look tropical if you like.  Trees are low cost and they look fabulous.  They provide privacy and create an atmosphere that is relaxing.  Just make sure that if you purchase furniture for your outdoor area, they provide fragile shipment protection.  If you purchase plastic furnishings for outdoors, you won’t need fragile shipment protection.
